MILTONVALE, Kan. (WIBW) - At least three serious injuries were reported when a pickup truck and dump truck collided Tuesday afternoon in Ottawa County.

The crash was reported at 4:23 p.m. Tuesday at 2653 Treaty Road, The location was about 5 miles south of Miltonvale.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1987 Mack dump truck was traveling west on Treaty Road. when it collided with a 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck that pulled out in front of it from a private driveway.

Both vehicles came to rest in the north ditch.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck, Vera F. Lyne, of Clay Center, 71, was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with serious injuries. The patrol said Lyne wasn’t wearing her seat belt.

A juvenile was in the Chevrolet pickup truck. Information about the juvenile wasn’t released.

The driver of the Mack truck, Michael T. Haney, 56, of Salina, and a passenger in the dump truck, Peter C. Haney Jr., 59, of Minneapolis, were reported to have serious injuries. They were taken to Salina Regional Health Center. The patrol said neither occupant of the dump truck was wearing a seat belt.
