Sydney Sweeney fans slam Carol Baum's harsh remarks

Carol Baum’s remarks about Sydney Sweeney sparked a nerve among her fans.

Netizens took to their social media after the film producer harshly criticized the 27-year-old actress and her blockbuster movie Anyone But You.

Speaking with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin, Carol said, “I don't get Sydney Sweeney. I was watching Sydney Sweeney's movie because I wanted to watch it. I wanted to know who she is and why everybody's talking about her.”

Labeling Sydney’s hit romcom “unwatchable,” Carol shared that she asked her students at the USC School of Cinematic Arts about their opinion.

“I said to my class, ‘Explain this girl to me. She's not pretty, she can't act. Why is she so hot?’ Nobody had an answer,” she continued.

“Jealousy is a stinky cologne,” a Sydney Sweeney fan reacted to her statement on X.

Another user chimed in, saying, “She's mad because Sweeney is successfully producing her own projects and is not forced to be subservient to people like her.”
