Lottery Ticket Win

CLINTON, Iowa — A Clinton man got the surprise of a lifetime when he found out that he'd won $2 million from playing the lottery.

72-year-old Mark Krogman bought his winning Powerball ticket from Clinton Liquor back in November. According to officials with the Iowa Lottery, he was the only winner during the drawing on Saturday, Nov. 25. He was just one number away from winning the night's jackpot.

According to a press release, Krogman, who is retired, plans to spend the winnings on paying off his house, potentially adding on to it and helping his family with their finances.

Clinton Liquor also received a $2,000 bonus from the Iowa Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
