JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Fulton County resident has claimed a top prize on a scratch-off ticket. Gregory Kinowski of Johnstown won $1 million on the New York Lottery’s $1,000,000 Cashword Bonus scratch-off game.

According to the New York Lottery, Kinowski received a single, lump sum payment of $475,230 after required withholdings. The winning ticket was bought at Stewart’s Shops at 201 N Comrie Avenue in Johnstown. Stewart’s said the ticket was purchased on January 29.

The New York Lottery said two top prizes remain on the $1,000,000 Cashword Bonus ticket. Players can check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report.

New York scratch-off games generated $$4,406,338,198 in total sales during the 2022-2023 fiscal year. Officials said school districts in Fulton County received $16,254,460 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during that time.
