SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Seven people have been charged under the federal Cannabis Act and heaps of illegal cannabis and other related items have been seized after peace officers busted dispensaries in Saint John, Moncton and Riverview, N.B. in early April.

Officers executed the first warrant on April 4 at Queen-E Smoke and Vape Outlet at 540 Pinewood Road in Riverview.

A 57-year-old Moncton man, a 42-year-old Moncton woman and a 23-year-old Shediac man were arrested and charged.

They were later released and are set to appear in court on June 24 in Moncton.

On the same day, at the Moncton branch of Queen-E Smoke and Vape Outlet at 1631 Mountain Road, police arrested a 55-year-old Maple Hills woman following a store search.

The woman was later released to appear in court on June 24.

On April 5, a search of Cloud Nine Vape at 10 Germain Street. in Saint John resulted in the arrest of two men, 35 and 22, as well as a 25-year-old woman.

The were released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

As a result of all three search warrants, police seized a combined:

  • 4.48 kilograms of dried cannabis;
  • 111.8 grams of hashish;
  • 281 packages of edibles;
  • 683 pre-rolled cannabis joints;
  • 54 packs of shatter;
  • 15 distillate cartridges;
  • 21 vape pens containing THC;
  • 26 packages of gummies;
  • 162 flavoured nicotine vapes; and
  • $6,299 in cash (including cash in ATM).
