Check your tickets! $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Phoenix
PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One person is richer after hitting a million-dollar Powerball win in the Valley this week!
Arizona Lottery officials say the $1 million ticket was sold at a QuikTrip on 7th Street, just north of Northern Avenue. The win is currently unclaimed, so check your tickets now!
Officials say the last $1 million ticket was sold at a Circle K near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. The win was claimed by a whopping 19 people after the April 6 drawing.
Everyone split the winnings evenly and each received over $52,000! It goes to show the power of pool-playing.
“The best part was when we were passing out all the checks. They were all so happy, hugging each other, and some even crying. It was very special and fun to witness,” the Arizona Lottery customer service team said in a statement.
