The 2024 NFL draft doesn’t start for another week, but Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst got a head start on adding competition to his offensive line, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
The Packers signed veteran tackle Andre Dillard, the team announced Thursday. Dillard, a 2019 first-round draft pick by the Philadelphia Eagles, adds veteran depth to the Packers line. Gutekunst said at the onset of the offseason he wanted to add competition entering 2024.
The Packers are hoping to be a reclamation destination for Dillard’s career. He started 10 games last season for the Tennessee Titans but was released one year into his three-year contract after leading the NFL with 12 sacks allowed. Dillard allowed multiple sacks in four starts and eventually was benched twice for performance, but returned to the field because of injuries.
