Oddsmakers are connecting the dots between the Denver Broncos and Bo Nix in next week’s NFL Draft.
The Broncos are heavily favored to draft the Oregon quarterback after months of rumors linking the two sides as a potential fit in the post-Russell Wilson era in the Mile High City.
In early March, Denver was +325 to select Nix and have only become more likely to bring him in over the ensuing months in the eyes of oddsmakers at BetMGM Sportsbook.
They are now -165 to draft him, well ahead of the Las Vegas Raiders, who have the next-best odds to take Nix at +600.
The Broncos currently hold the No. 12 pick in the first round, although there are questions as to whether Nix would be worth a selection at such a high draft slot.
The team could opt to trade down and target Nix later in the first or even second round, getting additional assets in the process.
Team to draft Bo Nix odds
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Denver Broncos | -165 |
Las Vegas Raiders | +600 |
New York Giants | +700 |
Minnesota Vikings | +750 |
New Orleans Saints | 13/1 |
New England Patriots | 14/1 |
Seattle Seahawks | 16/1 |
Denver is also in the mix for quarterbacks J.J. McCarthy (+800, fourth-best odds) and Michael Penix Jr. (+500, third-best odds), according to BetMGM.
It’s no surprise to see the Broncos in the market for a new signal-caller after moving on from Wilson.
The nine-time Pro Bowler was benched by head coach Sean Payton in late December and later released by the club in March, having since signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Broncos quarterback room currently consists of Jarett Stidham and Ben DiNucci, neither of whom are considered starting caliber in the NFL.
Nix has been compared to future Hall-of-Famer Drew Brees by NFL draft expert Mel Kiper Jr.
Brees, of course, spent 14 seasons in New Orleans under now-Broncos head coach Sean Payton, winning the 2010 Super Bowl.
