A Cass County man has won $1 million in the Powerball lottery game.

The Michigan Lottery says Cain Bice of Union matched five white balls in the April 6 drawing to take the big prize. He bought his ticket at MichiganLotery.com.

Bice says he bought a few more tickets than usual for the drawing because the jackpot was more than $1 billion. The morning after the drawing, he logged into his Michigan Lottery account and saw he’d won $1 million. Bice says when he realized what happened, he started shouting. When his wife asked him what was going on, he showed her his phone with the results on the screen. Then they called family to tell them the good news.

With his winnings, the 31-year-old plans to buy a house, buy a car, and take a trip to Disney World.
