(CNN) – A Massachusetts sports memorabilia collector says some of his most prized New England Patriots items are ruined because of what he calls Tom Brady’s sloppy autographs.

Glenn Gagnon said he paid thousands of dollars to have the items signed at a Miami conference, but now some of them cannot be authenticated because the signatures are not recognizable.

He highlighted a pair of TB Twelve shoes from a 2018 game. He said he spent $7,200 on the shoes but an authenticator rejected them.

Gagnon said he paid a total of more than $14,000 to have the items signed.

Now, no one wants them and he can’t get his money back.
