Toddler in critical condition after being found in Laveen backyard pool

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was pulled from a backyard pool in Laveen on Thursday afternoon.
It happened in the area of 67th Avenue and Baseline Road around 2:15 p.m.
The boy was in the water for an unknown amount of time before a family member found him and performed CPR, firefighters said.
When crews arrived, the victim was conscious and breathing on his own.
He’s now in the hospital.
No word if the pool had a fence around it.
An investigation is underway.
