Jane McDonald will be back on the road for a new tour later this year as she revealed she's back on her feet following the heart-breaking deaths of her mother and partner.

The singer and presenter, 61, chatted to Ranvir Singh on the set of Lorraine this Friday, April 26, 2024, to promote her upcoming tour, due to start in October with a gig at Blackpool's Opera House and named With All My Love.

But while she's heading back to life in the spotlight, Jane was asked by the presenter how she was coping after losing both her mother Jean in 2018 and her fiancé Eddie Rothe in 2021. The TV star reassured Ranvir and her fans as she claimed she "feels as if (she's) back."

Jane told Ranvir: "you have to find your way of dealing with it. It's not easy, it never leaves you either." She then admitted that she made the conscious decision to start her days off on a positive note and prevent grief from catching up to her.

"I have to make a decision every morning what my day is going to be like", she added, "I choose to go the positive way and it's not always easy. And if you have a bad day, that's fine."

In another breath, Jane explained that her music, along with touring and getting back together with her band members have all helped her find joy again and gave her life a purpose after her overwhelming grief. She continued: "now I look at my life and I think, ‘I've got a lot more good days in my life than I have bad days now’. I've come on leaps and bounds."

Later on in the program, she reflected on her romance with Eddie with fondness as he allowed her to experience "real love." Jane said: 2I had the most amazing thirteen years with this man. That's what I think of, how lucky and blessed I've been to have that time with him and know real love." This has prompted her to pay tribute to her Jean and Eddie in music during her tour and Jane's fans have been warned: "bring your tissues."

Jane's woes began in December 2018, when she announced the death of her mother Jean in an emotional post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "I know this time of year is difficult for so many people due to losing loved ones, this year I join you. I have very recently lost my beautiful Mum. A light in my heart has gone out for a short while. My family and I would appreciate your privacy regarding this huge loss."

Fans were left in tatters by the announcement and ran to the comment section. But just as she was recovering from the trauma of losing a close family member, Jane faced the pain of Eddie's death as he succumbed to lung cancer at the age 67 years old. The pair had been an item for more than a decade, but never walked down the aisle together, reconnecting after losing sight of one another when they were teenagers.
