Jane McDonald has opened up about bouncing back after the loss of her mother and partner Eddie, as she gears up for a new tour later this year. The singer and TV personality shared with Ranvir Singh on Lorraine's set that she's ready to step back into the limelight with her upcoming tour, reports the Mirror.

The 61-year-old will kick off in October at Blackpool's Opera House, aptly titled With All My Love. Despite her return to the stage, Jane addressed how she's been handling the grief of losing her mother Jean in 2018 and her fiance Eddie Rothe in 2021. She reassured Ranvir and viewers alike, saying she "feels as if (she's) back."

Speaking to Ranvir, Jane said: "You have to find your way of dealing with it. It's not easy, it never leaves you either." She also shared her daily approach to coping with her losses, choosing to start each day with a positive mindset to keep the grief at bay.

"I have to make a decision every morning about what my day is going to be like," Jane continued. "I choose to go the positive way and it's not always easy. And if you have a bad day, that's fine."

In a heartfelt revelation, Jane shared how her music, touring and reuniting with her band members have all played a significant role in helping her rediscover happiness and purpose after grappling with profound grief. She added: "Now I look at my life and I think, 'I've got a lot more good days in my life than I have bad days now'. I've come on leaps and bounds."

Later in the show, she looked back on her relationship with Eddie with warmth, crediting him for letting her experience "real love."

Jane expressed: "I had the most amazing thirteen years with this man. That's what I think of, how lucky and blessed I've been to have that time with him and know real love." This has inspired her to honour Jean and Eddie through her music during her tour, with a warning to her fans: "Bring your tissues."

Jane's heartache began in December 2018, when she broke the news of her mother Jean's passing in an emotional post on X, formerly known as Twitter. "I know this time of year is difficult for so many people due to losing loved ones, this year I join you. I have very recently lost my beautiful Mum. A light in my heart has gone out for a short while. My family and I would appreciate your privacy regarding this huge loss."

Fans were left heartbroken by the announcement and flooded the comment section with messages of support. Jane, still reeling from the loss of a close family member, was dealt another blow when Eddie passed away from lung cancer at 67 years old.

The couple had been together for over ten years but never married, having reconnected after losing touch in their teenage years.
