Photos: Danville School Board names three businesses to honor roll list

The Danville School Board on Thursday named three businesses — Goodyear, American National Bank and Trust Co. and Sovah Health-Danville — to the 2024 Virginia School Board Association Business Honor Roll list. Goodyear, a longtime education supporter, most recently donated CPR kits to George Washington High School, Megan Smith, coordinator of business partnerships, explained to the board. American National — which is now known as Atlantic Union Bank — has "done so much for us over the years," she said, including adopting a school. Finally, Sovah Health also adopted a school after CEO Steve Healtherly wanted to get more involved with this school system. “It has been a wonderful thing," she said.
