ST. PETERS, Mo. – One lottery player in St. Peters recently matched five white-ball numbers in a Mega Millions drawing to win a $1 million prize.

The winning ticket was purchased from the QuikTrip at 391 N. Main St. in St. Peters ahead of the Missouri Lottery’s April 12 Mega Millions drawing.

The lottery player’s Quick Pick ticket matched the five white-ball numbers drawn: 1, 12, 14, 18 and 66. The player’s only incorrect number was the Mega Ball number of 16.

The winner redeemed their prize at a Missouri lottery office and said “I was so excited. I was shaking” after the win.

Mega Millions is a multi-state game that costs $2 per play, with drawings held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. Friday’s estimated jackpot is $228 million. 

According to MegaMillions.com, the odds of matching number for all five white balls are 1 in 12 million, and the odds of doing that with the correct Mega Ball number is 1 in 300 million.
