A court in Mumbai on Friday rejected an interim plea of a 25-year-old woman, who had sought a DNA test on BJP MP Ravi Kishan, claiming that it will prove that he is her biological father.
A suit was filed by the woman in a civil court this month stating that she is the biological daughter of Kishan and it should be declared so.
While the suit will be heard, the lawyers representing the woman had also sought an interim prayer seeking the DNA test on the MP. Kishan, through his lawyer, denied the claim made by the woman, stating that he was never in a relationship with her mother.
Refusing the interim relief, the court also issued summons to the respondents including Kishan for their response on the suit, which has been posted for a hearing in July next. Kishan’s wife has also filed an FIR in Uttar Pradesh against the woman, her mother and others on allegations of criminal conspiracy.
