Four men arrested after €300,000 worth of drugs seized in Limerick

Four men have been arrested after gardai seized €300,000 worth of cannabis in Limerick city. 

The searches were carried out by Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, supported by members of the Regional Armed Support Unit in the Clare Street area. 
 
During the course of these searches cash totaling approximately €10,000 as well as 30 cannabis plants and approximately 15 kilos of cannabis, with a combined total estimated value of €300,000 was seized.


The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for further analysis.
 
Four men (aged 30s, 40s, 60s) were arrested at the scene.  All are detained pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at garda stations in the Limerick Division.
 
Investigations are ongoing.
