Kylie Minogue has added another concert to her busy 2024 festival schedule as she shows no signs of slowing down despite one of her gigs being cancelled.

The pop legend, 55, has had an incredible year with the success of her dance anthem Padam Padam and has proved herself to be in demand on the festival circuit.

She has already signed up for a string of hugely popular events across the UK and Europe, sending fans wild, and has now added another date to her line-up.

It comes after her Aussie fans were left devastated when long-running festival Splendour In The Grass - where Kylie was set to headline - was axed.

It was previously claimed Kylie was set to tour Australia this year, but the singer is yet to confirm whether she will take to the stage in her native country in 2024 after her planned gig was canned.

However, she is still going full steam ahead with a string of shows elsewhere around the globe, including at a popular Irish music and dance festival.

On Friday, Kylie took to Instagram to share the exciting news that she will be headlining Electric Picnic in Stradbally, County Laois, on August 18.

Kylie will be taking to the stage on the final day of the festival alongside fellow headliner, BRIT Award-winning singer Raye.

Also making up the line-up for this year's festival, which has been running since 2004, are the likes of Calvin Harris, Noah Kahan, Kodaline and Gerry Cinnamon.

Her exciting announcement came just one day after Kylie confirmed she will be headlining one of Europe's largest music festivals this summer.

Kylie was also set to headline Australia's popular Splendour In The Grass festival in July, but it was among a string of 2024 music events to get axed Down Under.

The festival was due to be held at the North Byron Parklands from July 19-21, but organisers confirmed it was cancelled last month, with its future looking uncertain.

Kylie was quick to react to the shock news as she took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share her devastation and promised to soon return to Australia.

She wrote: 'SITG, this must have been a difficult decision,' alongside a crying emoji.

'I was so looking forward to being there and all of us having the best time. Oz, I'm looking forward, now more than ever, to be home and playing shows for you.'

NYE In The Park and Tent Pole Music Festival were also cancelled this year amid issues including poor ticket sales and the economic climate.
