The Nigerian Army troops, in conjunction with a team from the Department of State Services (DSS), swiftly responded to a distress call in the North West region, particularly in Sokoto State. 
Their joint operation was aimed at countering the imminent threat posed by an armed terrorist group on the rampage in the Modachi general area of Isa Local Government Area.
The coordinated response by the security forces resulted in the interception of the terrorists, who were intent on causing havoc.
The confrontation led to the elimination of a number of terrorists and the confiscation of a significant cache of arms.
It’s noteworthy that the terrorists were in transit with several motorbikes, indicating their preparedness for widespread violence.
During the engagement, the security forces encountered strong resistance from the terrorists, underscoring the gravity of the situation.
However, their resolute actions led to the neutralization of seven terrorists, preventing further escalation of violence.
 Additionally, the recovery of seven AK-47 rifles, four motorbikes, two mobile phones, and four machetes underscores the extent of the threat posed by the terrorists and the effectiveness of the security forces’ response.
