The Cincinnati Bengals drafted edge Cedric Johnson out of Ole Miss with pick No. 214 in the NFL draft. Johnson, 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, gives the Bengals depth at the defensive end position.

Johnson was the best edge rusher on an Ole Miss team that finished tied for the 19th-most sacks nationally last season. Don’t take his sack numbers at face value – some injury issues and aggressive rotation in the trenches from the Rebels mean Johnson got fewer opportunities than many of his peers. He’s played in a handful of different schemes, too. The Rebels cycled through three different defensive coordinators during his time in Oxford.
