Alexandria Mediterranean Countries Film Festival to Honor Syria's Ayman Zidan

Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival announced, Saturday, awarding the veteran Syrian actor Ayman Zidane with its prestigious Bride of the Mediterranean in its 40th edition. 

The honoring of Zidane represents a recognition of his great role in Syrian and Arab cinema.

Zidane obtained a degree in theatrical arts in 1981, and worked as a teacher at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. He also worked as director of the mobile theater in the Ministry of Culture, and general manager of Al-Sham International Company.

He also directed various stage works like: Al Malek Howa Al Malek, Al Mokhataton, Raas El Mamluk Gaber, Rihlet Handhala, Fabrica and others.

The veteran actor also directed many TV shows like including Lail El Mosafreen, Toyour El Shawk, Malh El Hayah, and Ayam La Tonsah.

In cinema, he presented many films, including Amina, Dark Clouds, Mountains of the Sun, and Days of Lead.

Zidane also participated as an actor in many cinematic works,

He also performed many roles in the theater and cinema.

Zidane won many awards in acting and directing.
