Bijnor: A groom in Seervasuchand village in Bijnor collapsed after experiencing sudden chest pains in the middle of his own wedding rituals. Family members of the deceased said that he had been in good health and had no known issues prior to the incident that could've caused such an occurrence.
Neetu, 22, was headed to the venue alongside his family and friends. He collapsed and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to a report by TOI, Neetu's wedding was set for April 26, and the village was preparing for the occasion. Before the wedding procession could depart, Neetu visited a temple for worship where he reportedly fell ill and collapsed. Attempts were made to revive him using CPR, however, he remained unresponsive. He was taken to a hospital in Jaspur, where he was pronounced dead.
Neetu was set to marry a girl from Chaharwala village. Both families were devasted by the incident.
"Victim's father has not filed any report in the matter. The cause of death remains under investigation," Bijnor Superintendent of Police (SP) Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said.
