The post-NFL draft free-agent signings and rookie minicamp invites are trickling out, but only a handful of local products so far will get the chance to join NFL teams as they begin spring workouts.
Alex McNulty, a kicker from the University at Buffalo, told The Buffalo News that he has received invites to rookie minicamps with the Green Bay Packers and the Buffalo Bills. The Packers hold their minicamp this week, and the Bills’ minicamp is May 9-12. At UB this season, McNulty was 11-for-19 on field goals but 8-for-9 on kicks of 40-49 yards, and averaged 62.6 yards on 49 kickoffs, including 32 that went for touchbacks.
Dylan McDuffie, a running back from the University of Kansas who played at UB from 2018-21, told The News he has received invites to rookie camps with the Packers and the New York Giants, who host their rookie minicamp May 9-11. McDuffie ran for 1,049 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2021 at UB but rushed for only 298 yards and five touchdowns the next two seasons at Georgia Tech and Kansas. McDuffie, a Sweet Home graduate, has a family connection with the Packers. His cousin, Isaiah McDuffie, is a linebacker for the Packers and a former Bennett standout who graduated from Olmsted.

Daymond Williams, a defensive tackle from UB, posted on his social media accounts that he has received an invite to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp. Williams had 22 tackles, a sack, fumble recovery and four quarterback hurries in 12 games in 2023.
Kansas announced that Mike Novitsky, a center for the Jayhawks who played at UB from 2019-20, has signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent. The Jayhawks football program also announced Monday that Rich Miller, a linebacker at UB from 2018-20, has been invited to rookie camps with the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears.
UB did not have any players drafted by NFL teams this year.
