Former Ole Miss basketball player arrested after vehicle repossession shooting in Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) — Police arrested a 22-year-old man following a shooting last week in Oxford.

Oxford Police identified the suspect as Jamarion Sharp of Oxford.

The shooting happened Friday afternoon, April 26 near Price Hill Park.

Detectives learned the shooting occurred during a vehicle repossession.

Sharp is accused of shooting at an individual.

Police reported no injuries.

Police charged him with aggravated assault.

The Kentucky native played the 2023-2024 season for Ole Miss basketball.
