OXFORD, Miss. (WJTV) – An Ole Miss basketball player is accused of firing shots during a car repossession.

The incident happened just after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26 in the area of Price Hill Park.

Oxford police said during their investigation, they learned that a vehicle was in the process of being repossessed when Jamarion Demontrez Sharp, 22, fired a gun towards the victim. No one was injured during the incident.

Sharp was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault.

He was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. He was given a $100,000 bond by the Municipal Court judge.
