Mississippi State cornerback Decamerion Richardson (3) was a fourth round selection by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Bulldogs saw three different players come off the board last Saturday as cornerback Decamerion Richardson, defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy and linebacker Nathaniel Watson all were drafted on day three. It was the 15th-straight year that MSU has had a player drafted and the seventh-straight with at least two players taken.

Richardson was the one expected to hear his name first and he came off the board to the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round. During his four years with the Bulldogs, Richardson made 177 tackles with 10 pass breakups and a sack.

It continues a nice run of cornerbacks for MSU in the pros as Cameron Dantzler was drafted in 2020, Martin Emerson in 2022 and Emmanuel Forbes was taken in 2023.

There was some controversy with Richardson in the offseason as he entered the transfer portal in December and ultimately committed to Ole Miss. However, the Louisiana native changes course and instead declares for the draft.
