Seton Hall transfer Jaquan Sanders has found a new home.
The 6-foot-4 Queens, N.Y. native is headed back near home to Hofstra.
“I felt like picking Hofstra was a great choice for me not only because it’s a great program,” he told NJ Advance Media.
“I built relationships with the coaching staff over the past few years. They recruited me out of high school, and also I know that they are a great staff and they going to put me in the right position to get better as a person and as a player.”
Sanders averaged 2.7 points for the NIT champion Pirates, but scored 11 points and made 3-of-5 from deep in the 84-67 semifinal win over Georgia at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
He figures to have a much bigger role under Speedy Claxton at Hofstra.
He joins incoming transfers Cruz Davis (St. John’s), Jean Aranguren (Iona), Michael Graham (Loyola Marymount), Carlos Lopez (St. Francis/PA) and TJ Gasdsen (Canisius) at Hofstra.

Sanders is one of nine Pirates in the portal this cycle. Forward Dre Davis has committed to Ole Miss and big man Elijah Hutchins-Everett to James Madison.
Kadary Richmond remains uncommitted.
Sanders initially committed to Seton Hall in 2021 out of Our Saviour Lutheran (NY) School after flipping from Big East rival St. John’s.
The Hall has three incoming portal players in forwards Gus Yalden (Wisconsin), Scotty Middleton (Ohio State) and Prince Aligbe (Boston College).
The Pirates are also hosting Old Dominion transfer guard Chaunce Jenkins, per Jake Weingarten. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists as a junior.
