Fontana Unified School District will be holding its second annual Film Festival on Thursday, May 2.

The festival will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Steelworkers’ Auditorium at the Lewis Library and Technology Center, 8437 Sierra Avenue in Fontana.

FUSD students will showcase art that illustrates the growth of the district’s Career Technical Education (CTE) TV Production pathways.

The inaugural Film Festival received more than 135 submissions in May 2023. This year, students submitted their original creations in more than 20 award categories, including narrative film, music video, comedy, stop motion, commercial, documentary, and more, during the submission period from March 1 to April 1.

The award categories are separated by elementary, middle, high school, and alumni submissions. FUSD alumni who continued filmmaking after high school were also eligible to submit any format of a production they created post-graduation.
