Kannada Film Tharini, which was released in March last year, has bagged an award in the Kannada feature films category at the latest edition of the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival 2024. Written and directed by Siddu Poornachandra, Tharini features Mamatha Rahuth as a pregnant woman

Mamatha Rahuth Shot For The Film During Her Third Trimester

Actress Mamatha, who plays a mother-to-be was pregnant when shooting for the film. “Mamatha mam was seven months pregnant when we started shooting for the film. Her dedication was commendable and she continued shooting for the film even during her third trimester. The best part of the whole experience of Tharini was when we shot the just-born baby of Mamatha mam,” the director shared. He adds that such recognition and awards inspire and drive them to work on socially relevant causes. Mamatha Rahuth is now the mother of a baby boy.
