AYODHYA: Intensifying the poll pitch for the saffron camp, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a roadshow on Sunday evening in Ayodhya. This was his first visit to the temple town since the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Jan. PM Modi said that he has sought blessings of Ram Lalla for 140 crore Indians and offered his prayers and was lucky to have gotten another opportunity to worship him.

Holding the glowlights with the party symbol before the public, the PMs paid obeisance to Ram Lalla before starting the roadshow.
Darshan as usual during PM visit
Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the Ayodhya temple was organised in a way to ensure the darshan at the temple continued as usual for devotees.
The temple trust said that barring the period when PM Modi was inside the garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) to offer prayers, the queue system continued to operate as usual.
Temple trust general secretary Champat Rai and member Anil Mishra were present while Acharya Sa tyendra Das supervised the religious rituals for the PM.
"The PM took a bath and changed his clothes. He does it every time before praying to the lord,” Rai said.

Modi entered the temple from gate number 11 which was reserved for him, to offer the prayers while devotees kept arriving through the general queue system. The only difference was that from 6pm onwards, there were only three rows for common devotees, instead of the usual five-six.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath who had arrived in advance to welcome Modi, meanwhile, went to seek blessings of lord Hanuman at Hanuman Garhi as well, before joining the PM at the Ram temple, said the trust office-bearers.
