ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Love Albany is hosting its “Movies Under the Stars” outdoor film series throughout Albany in May and June. The first movie kicks off Tulip Festival weekend on Friday, May 10.

The events are family-friendly and free to attend. For each event, family activities and music begin at 7: 30 p.m., with the movie starting at 8:30 p.m.

  • May 10: “Barbie” at Washington Park
  • May 17: “Sister Act 2” at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 86 Schuyler Street
  • May 24: “The Lion King (1994)” at SUNY Plaza (downtown)
  • May 31: “Wonka” at Ridgefield Park
  • June 7: “Elemental” at Arbor Hill Elementary School
  • June 13: “Little Mermaid (2023)” at Black Lives Matter Park
  • June 21: “Wish” at Sage College of Albany
  • June 28: “TMNT: Mutant Mayhem” at Lincoln Park

The activities include a bouncy house, popcorn, giant games, and more. Attendees can bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on.
