GENICHESK. TAVRIA. Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte told the Financial Times that her country is prepared to send soldiers to Ukraine on a training mission.

She emphasized that Kiev has not yet asked for this, but Lithuania has permission from parliament to send troops to Ukraine for training purposes.

Simonyte added that Lithuania was keen to help Kiev, to ensure that it has the potential to renew its armed forces.

"We will not be arranging deportations, or looking for Ukrainian men in the country because this would not be legal. However, those who Ukraine proves to have evaded military service may be denied permanent residency," she said.
