Lana Wilkinson had an American Dream - and now it is about to come true.

The Melbourne-based entrepreneur has announced she is set to launch her stylish shoe brand in the United States.

Wilkinson, 42, first teased that she working on getting her four-year-old fashion brand into stores Stateside in February.

And now the Herald Sun reports that Lana had been able to stitch up a deal with stockists in US department stores.

According to the publication Lana's pal Bec Judd and designer Rebecca Valance 'worked' with the high-profile socialite in getting her Lana Wilkinson brand in front of the right contacts during New York fashion week.

'Exciting meetings and opportunities have come about with the shoes and brand to explore, especially during New York fashion week,' she told Herald Sun in February.

'It's a real pinch me moment. Watch this space,' she added.

Wilkinson is part of an elite Australian social circle that includes Bec Judd and Michelle Greene, who are behind the activewear brand Jaggad, and WAG-turned-designer Nadia Bartel.

It is unclear at this stage whether Wilkinson has designed a fresh range for the U.S. market.

Her new line-up advertised on her website include black patent leather 'Huw' boots with 8.5cm heels worth $399.95. There's also a set of slingback heels, the 'Cleo', worth $229.95.

Meanwhile, Wilkinson has announced she has partnered with designer Michael Lo Sordo for Sydney Fashion Week, which begins on May 14.

Describing the team-up as a 'dream come true', Wilkinson told the publication:

'This collaboration feels effortless, yet extremely impactful and together the runway looks tell a story of glamour and creativity that I'm very proud to be a part of. 

'The partnership is an exciting opportunity for the brand to reach new heights of recognition and success within the fashion industry and I couldn't be more excited for Tuesday night.'
