So you've already returned your Colorado ballot. Here's how to make sure it was received.

So you've mailed your ballot or put it in a drop box, and now you'd like some peace of mind about whether it was received and counted.
In Colorado, there are a couple of ways you can see where your ballot is now.
Govotecolorado.com
One option is to visit the Colorado Secretary of State election website, govotecolorado.com, and click on "Check my mail ballot status."
There, you'll enter your name, zip code and birthday. When the next screen comes up, click on the box that says "ballot information." There, it'll tell you the status of your ballot: when it was mailed to you, when your county received it and when it was counted.
This site also gives you access to information about your voting districts and voter registration.
Ballottrax
This service, also provided through the Colorado Secretary of State's Office, tracks your ballot and sends you alerts in the process.
Visit ballottrax.coloradosos.gov to sign up. You can enter in a phone number and email address so you can receive alerts, and you can set parameters for when you get notifications.
Confidential voters can't use this system, however.
What if you fear your ballot was lost?
If it's Election Day, or getting too close to Election Day for your comfort, then visit the county clerk's office or a voter service and polling center, where you can request a new ballot and vote in person.
