WESTFIELD – It’s only a matter of time before EV air mobility aircraft become as common as EV vehicles today, and the Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport is preparing for that future.
“We’re working collectively to prepare for the advanced air mobility aircraft that will utilize alternative fuel sources,” said Chris Willenborg, the airport’s manager during a gathering at the terminal Wednesday to announce the installation of a charging station that can be used by electric-powered airplanes.
