To say this is the busiest sports week of the year for the area would be an understatement. With the NCAA men's and women's tournaments reaching the Final Four, Major League Baseball in full swing and the Masters just ahead, even more is in store this week.
Here's a quick rundown of everything going on:
Main draw play at the Credit One Charleston Open got underway March 31 and will continue until the weekend with Charleston's Emma Navarro and defending champion Danielle Collins yet to have their first match.
On April 3, the Harlem Globetrotters will visit the North Charleston Coliseum at 7 p.m. as part of their 2025 World Tour. Tickets start at $30 for a night of trick shots, dunks and the Globetrotters' longtime nemesis, the Washington Generals.
The Charleston RiverDogs open the Single-A Carolina League season on April 4 against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans at 7 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a magnet schedule, while the following night the first 1,000 fans get a replica jersey in a 6 p.m. start. But fans can see the RiverDogs even sooner on April 1 for Meet the RiverDogs from 5-9 p.m. Tickets are $50 plus tax to meet the team for autograph and photo opportunities at Riley Park. Watch batting practice on the field with the team. Food and beverages will be provided.
With Darlington next on the race schedule, three-time NASCAR Cup champion Joey Logano will be making a pit stop at the Hang 10 Car Wash in Summerville on April 4 from 4-6 p.m. Logano will be doing a meet and greet with fans in the parking lot of Hang 10 at 1905 Old Trolley Road. Only the first 250 in line will receive wristbands to get autographs and pictures with the defending NASCAR Cup champion. Everyone attending will be able to take a picture with Logano’s No. 22 Pennzoil Ford Mustang. There will also be giveaways.
April 5 will be a busy Saturday around the area and a little up the road in Darlington.

The Cooper River Bridge Run, a major annual tourist magnet, kicks into high gear April 5 at 8 a.m. in Mount Pleasant.
The 48th annual Cooper River Bridge Run will begin at 8 a.m. in Mount Pleasant as runners traverse the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge into Charleston and make their way to the finish of the 10K race at Marion Square.
The semifinals of the Credit One Charleston Open begin at 11 a.m. at Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island.
Charleston Southern will be holding its annual spring football game at 11 a.m. at Buccaneer Field. Fans are welcome to attend.
The Citadel will be holding its annual spring football game at 1 p.m. at Johnson Hagood Stadium. Fans are welcome to attend.
The Charleston Battery return home for a 5:30 p.m. match against the Tampa Bay Rowdies at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant. The game will be their first at home since a March 15 win over Rhode Island.
At 6 p.m., the ECHL-leading South Carolina Stingrays play their final home game of the regular season at the North Charleston Coliseum. Fans will enjoy free parking, a bobblehead and other giveaways for the game against the Orlando Solar Bears. The Stingrays will have three more road games to close out the season before opening the Kelly Cup playoffs at home with Game 1 on April 18 and Game 2 the following night.
Also at 6 p.m., the RiverDogs will play their second game of the season at Riley Park against Myrtle Beach.
On April 6, the championship match of the Charleston Open will take place. The doubles final will start at noon, with the singles championship to start no sooner than 2:30 p.m.
The Goodyear 400 takes place at Darlington Raceway at 3 p.m. April 6. Brad Keselowski won last year at "The Track Too Tough to Tame."
And at 5 p.m., the RiverDogs host the final game of their opening-season series against the Pelicans before hitting the road for a six-game series against the Columbia Fireflies. The first 500 kids will receive a Comeback Season RiverDogs custom yo-yo.
