With the 55th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Los Angeles Chargers have selected Ole Miss wide receiver Tre Harris.
The 6’2, 205-pound Harris is a dynamic playmaker who thrived catching passes from quarterback Jaxson Dart. He figures to settle in as the Chargers’ X receiver of the future as a big-bodied player who can win outside the numbers, something the Bolts offense has needed to complement the skillset of second-year standout Ladd McConkey.

Harris was named a Second-Team All-American in 2024 and Third-Team All-SEC selection after catching 60 passes for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns while playing in just eight games after missing five contests with a lower-body injury. As a junior in 2023, Harris once again led the Rebels with 985 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in 12 games.
With excellent tracking skills and strength at the catch point, Harris is not unlike current Chargers veteran Mike Willliams. Harris also plays faster than his 4.54 40 time. He stacks defensive backs and doesn’t look back.
Harris is not likely to start in year one and will get a ton of development under Williams before potentially stepping into a bigger role in 2026.
