Beekeeping training programme

Manipur Khadi and Village Industries Board, Lamphelpat organised a beekeeping masters training programme at the Board's hall today.
Speaking on the occasion, Manipur Khadi & Village Industries Board Chairman L Radhakishore Singh stated that the training programme was conducted especially for skilled unemployed youths of the State.
Pointing out that beekeeping was practised since the golden days, Chairman Radhakishore stated one can take up bee keeping work easily since it does not require special care or huge amount of money.
A bee box can produce one to two litres of honey and as such an individual can earn easily without giving extra care.
Instead of taking up illegal activities or works, people can take up this profession and make it a source of their livelihood which will also improve the economy of the State.
The State's economy will definitely boost if the organic or home made honeys are processed and sold outside the State by giving a trademark.
Chairman Manipur Khadi & Industries Board, L Radhakishore, Vice Chairman Manipur Khadi & Industries Board, Yumnam Nilamani Singh, Deputy Director KVIC Manipur SO Salle Ashuli Pao, MKIV member H Subhash, Ch Sanajaoba and MKIV CEO Ph Khungmeidun attended the programme as dignitaries.
The seven days training programme which started today, has been postponed indefinitely due to incessant rain.
