New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Jennifer Saran has released a harrowing video by noted filmmaker Andrew Thomas for her song, "Let the Waves Wash Over Me (Song for Christine)."

Saran wrote the track with its producer, multiple Grammy and Emmy winner Narada Michael Walden, in the aftermath of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's testimony at the recent Senate confirmation hearings for Brett Kavanaugh. Like the song itself, the video is an impactful mission statement for the upcoming mid-term elections. By utilizing Dr. Ford's heroic words and Saran's poignant yet biting lyrics, along with the portraits of those senators who cast deciding votes for Kavanaugh, Thomas has created a chilling and timely message that is impossible to ignore.

Saran says, "When Andrew asked me what I wanted to see, the ideas that resonated with me were that it clearly supported Christine Blasey Ford in such a way that there was no doubt I believed her; that the video be positive, not angry; that we include photos of protesters who supported her and who demanded an investigation; and that we call out those legislators who enabled the dismissal of the allegations without a proper investigation for the sake of their party agenda."

Thomas, who has collaborated with Crosby, Stills & Nash on numerous music videos celebrating freedom of speech and other social issues, and who won multiple Best Documentary awards for The Anatomy of Vince Guaraldi, jumped at the chance to create visuals for "Let the Waves Wash Over Me (Song for Christine)."

"Jennifer and Narada created a 'get out the vote' appeal that is a bold, passionate and timely contribution to the national conversation," Thomas says. "We can lose faith in politicians, but never in our democratic process. This video is a call to action to exercise that process and hold our representatives accountable."

Saran adds, "I wanted it to convey the message that by taking action and voting, each one of us can influence how our representatives behave. And by doing so, we can 'cleanse' our lives and the country of the toxicity of partisanship for its own sake."
