Keep Or Sell : Former Chelsea Defender Aina Has Thirteen Games To Prove Himself
Published: June 01, 2020Ola Aina is not guaranteed to remain at Torino for the 2020-2021 season, according to reports coming out of Italy.
Calciomercato claims that the Nigeria international has to convince Torino's technical director Davide Vagnati of his qualities in the last thirteen league games of the season, failing which he will be deemed surplus to requirements and be sold.
The former Chelsea defender impressed enough to earn himself a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell last summer.
However, it has been suggested that Aina's performances have not been consistent this term.
Signed from Chelsea for a fee of 9.8 million euros, the versatile fullback is contracted to the Maroons until June 30, 2023.
Though Aina has come under intense scrutiny at Torino, he has forced his way into the Super Eagles starting lineup, starting eight of their last eleven games and going the distance in all but one of his appearances.
