Team of students, teachers leave for Madhya Pradesh under EBSB

Imphal, June 26 2022:
In a unique student-exchange initiative under Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat (EBSB) and in connection with Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, 33 students and 4 teachers from Manipur have left for partner State Madhya Pradesh today.
As part of the exchange programme, the 33 students and 4 teachers will participate in a programme from June 26 to July 1 organised by their hosting institute at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The students include 19 school students enrolled in classes IX to XII under the State Board and 14 college students.
Their journey was flagged off from Manipur Institute of Technology, Imphal this morning by Professor N Lokendra Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Manipur University.
During their stay, they will visit the Sewage Treatment and Bio CNG plant in Indore and Ujjain, the city of temples.

They will also witness the Sports Academy in Indore as well as ASI Monuments of historical importance, museums, heritage sites and meeting internationally famous artisans of Maheshwar silk.
Apart from this they will visit Mandav Garh, the cultural heritage town of Holkar Dynasty and experience food and culture among many other things.
Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing.
The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connection in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism and cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices etc.
It may be noted that beginning today, student exchange between paired partner states (overall 750 students all over India) will visit the other state in a series of visits in a unique initiative under Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat (EBSB) .
